Owner's Representative - Marriott Hotel PIP Renovation
Job Description
Job Title: Owner’s Representative – Marriott Hotel PIP Renovation
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
Reports To: Ownership Group / Managing Principal
About the Role
We’re seeking a seasoned Owner’s Representative to lead a Marriott-branded Property Improvement Plan (PIP) renovation in Miami, Florida. Acting as the ownership’s on-site advocate, you’ll ensure the project meets Marriott brand standards, stays on schedule and budget, and delivers a beautifully refreshed product that enhances both guest experience and asset value.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who thrives on coordination, precision, and the fast pace of hospitality renovations. You’ll collaborate closely with Marriott’s Design and Project Services (DPS) team, contractors, designers, and vendors — representing ownership’s interests from concept through closeout.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all phases of the Marriott PIP renovation — design review, construction, FF&E/OS&E procurement, and project closeout.
- Translate brand requirements into actionable scopes of work and ensure compliance throughout.
- Oversee contractors, architects, and vendors to maintain schedule, quality, and cost control.
- Manage project budgets, review pay applications and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Serve as the liaison with Marriott’s DPS team for design submissions and brand approvals.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress and workmanship.
- Provide concise updates and reports to ownership, including risk assessments and progress photos.
- Oversee punch lists, brand inspections, and final turnover documentation.
What You Bring
- 7–10 years of experience in hospitality construction or renovation, with at least 3 years managing Marriott or other major brand PIP projects.
- Proven track record delivering multi-million-dollar renovations on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of Marriott design standards, submittal processes, and approval workflows.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, MS Project, Excel).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- PMP, CCM, or LEED AP certification a plus.
Why Join Us
- Be the key decision-maker on a high-profile Marriott renovation project.
- Work with a team that values expertise, accountability, and results.
- Enjoy a competitive compensation structure, with potential incentives tied to project milestones.
- Gain exposure to premium hospitality assets and brand collaboration at an executive level.
The Work Environment
This position is on-site in Miami, with regular presence at the hotel property.
Some travel may be required for vendor coordination or ownership meetings.
