Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide critical support within Southeast Florida Coast schools. Positions are available in various K-8 and middle school settings, offering both full-time and part-time schedules in contract roles lasting through the school year. Assignments typically involve working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, focusing on providing language, speech, and communication services within school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language evaluations and individualized therapy services for students.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and educational teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Serve diverse student populations, including those in Inclusion/Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) units.
  • Participate in school-based evaluation teams, requiring Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) for evaluation roles.
  • Manage caseloads that may vary from one to multiple campus assignments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida SLP licensure required.
  • Clinical experience working within school settings preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, especially when no other SLP is available onsite.
  • Familiarity with DHH student needs and inclusive education practices is a plus.

Locations and Scheduling:

  • Assignments are primarily located in Ft. Pierce, Port St. Lucie, and surrounding areas of Southeast Florida.
  • Work schedules vary by assignment, from full-time (4-5 days per week) to part-time (1-2 days per week).
  • Most positions are assigned to a single campus, with occasional travel between sites.

This role offers an engaging environment to impact students communication skills while working in supportive educational settings. Contract positions through the school year enable professional flexibility across various school sites.

Interested candidates with active FL SLP licensure and a commitment to school-based therapy are encouraged to apply promptly to contribute to student success within these diverse learning communities.
