Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Physical Therapist position is available for the 2024-2025 school year serving K-12 students in a dynamic school district in Tavares, FL. This contract role involves working with a diverse caseload of approximately 40 students across multiple school locations, providing specialized therapy services to support student health and learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and consultations for school-aged children (K-12).
  • Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Managing a caseload of students requiring therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, function, and participation.
  • Traveling itinerary-style among various schools within the district as needed to provide consistent therapy support.
  • Documenting therapy sessions, progress notes, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid and active professional license for Physical Therapy.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in a school or clinical setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while providing high-quality care.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff and families.
  • Willingness to travel among multiple school sites during the workweek.

Location:

  • Tavares, FL, with services provided across multiple schools in the district.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Typical schedule includes 8 hours per day with 30 minutes unpaid break.
