Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare professional is needed to support speech and language therapy services within a K-12 school environment near Fort Pierce, FL, for the upcoming contracted school year. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working in school settings or pediatric healthcare, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with educators and therapists to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and progress reports
- Participate in team meetings and parent communications as needed
- Provide therapy services onsite during regular school hours, following the school calendar with no weekend work required
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials applicable to school or healthcare settings
- Experience working within K-12 schools or pediatric speech therapy preferred
- Bilingual skills are a strong asset but not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage positively with children and school staff
