North Trail RV has an immediate opening for a Deli Associate. The ideal candidate for the Deli Associate is skilled in preparing and serving deli products, assisting customers, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department. Deli Associate’s key duties include making sandwiches and salads, packaging products, and handling transactions. Excellent customer service and knowledge of food safety are essential skills for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer service: Assist customers with orders, answer questions, provide product recommendations, and offer samples.
  • Food preparation: Package meats, cheeses, and other prepared foods like sandwiches and salads.
  • Point-of-sale: Calculate prices, complete transactions, and handle cash and credit card payments.
  • Inventory and stocking: Receive deliveries, stock display cases and backroom coolers, and rotate products to ensure freshness.
  • Cleanliness and sanitation: Clean and sanitize all equipment, work surfaces, and the general deli area, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
  • Display and presentation: Create attractive displays, update signage for promotions, and ensure the area is clean and well-organized.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Customer service skills: Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Food safety knowledge: Understanding and strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Basic math skills: Ability to perform calculations for pricing and transactions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members

Experience:

  • Ability to work Monday-Saturday 10am to 3pm. Reliable attendance is a must!
