Location: Lighthouse Learning Microschool
Hours: Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We are looking for a passionate 4th Grade Teacher who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on, and flexible learning environment. If you love teaching with creativity, integrating outdoor learning, and helping students develop real-world skills, this is the role for you!
Position Summary:
Plan & Lead Engaging Math and/or Language Arts Lessons with the support of a Teacher Assistant
Incorporate creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning in a flexible classroom setting
Offer students opportunities to learn through projects, field trips, arts/crafts, outdoor exploration, and community service
Collaborate with the curriculum coordinator and Teacher Assistant to develop meaningful lessons
Encourage student leadership, character development, and communication skills
Foster a family-like culture of trust, belonging, and collaboration
Provide progress updates to parents through anecdotal notes, discussions, and trimester reports
Infuse Bible-based discussions and daily devotionals into the school day, fostering a positive, faith-infused learning environment (while not operating as a religious institution)

Qualifications & Ideal Candidate:
Passionate about teaching in a non-traditional, innovative microschool setting
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or a related field)
Experienced in teaching elementary-aged students (3rd-5th grade)
Comfortable collaborating with a Teacher Assistant & curriculum coordinator
Open to integrating faith-based values in a supportive, community-centered school
Loves working with children and believes learning should be fun, interactive, and engaging
Compensation & Benefits:
- Part-time position: Monday-Wednesday (8:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- 22.5-30 hours per week
