Job Summary:
Palmdale Oil currently operates in more than 50 counties across Florida, providing a wide range of tailored commercial fuel and lubricant solutions to customers in the agricultural, industrial, construction, marine, and government sectors. With 18 locations statewide, the company is an industry leader in the procurement and sale of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, propane, commercial and industrial lubricants, and chemicals used across a diverse set of end markets.
We are looking for an experienced and customer-oriented Application Support Specialist to join our IT team in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting the organization’s ERP platforms. This individual will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to enhance system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support end users. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, solution-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshooting application-related issues and providing timely resolutions.
- Issue Diagnosis & Resolution: Identify and analyze software malfunctions, resolve application issues, escalate complex problems to the Software Provider and test/approve solutions before they are installed in the production environment.
- User Training & Documentation: Develop user guides, training materials, and FAQs to help end-users navigate applications effectively. Provide training sessions and workshops for new users.
- Configuration & Customization: Assist in configuring the application to meet business needs, customize application features, and apply necessary updates.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with the software development team to report bugs, suggest enhancements, and ensure that system issues are addressed in future releases.
- Change Management: Participate in the change management process by coordinating testing of new application versions or patches, assisting with implementation, and managing user acceptance testing.
- Incident Management: Track incidents through a ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates. Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
- Merger Integration: Participate as a key member of our Merger Integration Team to roll out the ERP system to acquired companies. This would include performing a Gap Analysis on functional requirements, adding necessary configuration, assisting in Data Conversion, perform testing and delivering training.
- Process Optimization: Our IT Team focuses on optimizing business processes and performance. In this role you would lead business transformation through leveraging the full functionality of our ERP suite, including developing business cases to add additional modules as you see opportunities for business improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in application support, IT support, or software troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, CRM platforms, etc.
- Proficient in troubleshooting issues across multiple platforms
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Possess some level of accounting knowledge
- Have experience with Process Improvement
- Experience in application deployment and patch management.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high-severity incidents with calm and composure.
Working Conditions:
- Standard office hours (on-site) with the possibility of on-call or after-hours support.
- Limited travel would be required (mostly within the state of Florida)
