Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant/Office Manager to join our dynamic team on MONDAY, TUESDAY, and WEDNESDAY, with future days added (Thursday and Friday- admin days). Pay will be dependent on experience (range $25-$35/hour)
Candidate MUST be bilingual (English/Spanish), as our patients need communication in both languages.
Please ONLY apply if you are able to commute to Miami Beach.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of dental care, including chairside assisting the dentist, patient management - including writing notes, communicating and following up with patients, answering phones (front desk), familiarity with dental software systems and insurance submissions (will train if no experience - but must be willing to fill both roles - dental assisting + front desk).
This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic (and pay is reflective of that).
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
- Record patient medical histories.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix, Oryx or Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information (will train if youve used other software before).
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging as required.
- Dental receptionist to ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic.
- Verifying insurances and benefits prior to patient treatment (will train)
- Submitting and following up with insurance claims (will train).
Requirements
- Must be available Monday - Friday
- Must be in commuting distance in Miami Beach 33140
- Must be bilingual (English + Spanish)
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly Dentrix or Oryx (will train in our software)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable but not required.
- Ability to perform medical imaging and maintain accurate medical records.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
