We are seeking an experienced RFP Manager to lead the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) function at Honorlock.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced RFP Manager to lead the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) function at Honorlock. This person will be responsible for managing, writing, and optimizing the RFP process, ensuring we submit compelling, high-quality responses that drive business growth. The ideal candidate has deep experience in RFP management, preferably in a B2B SaaS or EdTech environment, and has successfully led RFP strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full RFP process from intake and qualification to final submission, ensuring alignment with Honorlock’s business objectives.
- Develop a scalable, repeatable RFP process, including best practices, content library, and automation tools to improve efficiency.
- Utilize GovSpend and other procurement intelligence tools to identify new government and education RFP opportunities, track market trends, and support sales teams in targeting key contacts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, legal, finance, and leadership teams to craft compelling, customer-focused RFP responses.
- Write, edit, and refine RFP responses to ensure clarity, persuasiveness, and alignment with Honorlock’s brand and value proposition.
- Design visually appealing RFP proposals using Canva (or others) to create polished, professional, and engaging documents.
- To streamline future RFP submissions, create and maintain a knowledge base of approved responses, data points, competitive differentiators, and success stories using Smartsheet.
- Ensure compliance with all RFP requirements, working closely with legal and finance teams to manage contractual obligations, pricing structures, and security requirements.
- Analyze and optimize RFP performance, using insights to improve future responses and win rates.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors to position Honorlock as a leader in online proctoring solutions.
- Support other proposal-related efforts, including Requests for Information (RFIs), security questionnaires, and vendor assessments.
- Provide ad-hoc product marketing support as needed such as competitive intelligence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
- 3-5+ years of RFP management experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS or EdTech environment
- Proven ability to build and lead an RFP function within a high-growth organization
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and engaging proposals. A writing assessment and samples will be required.
- Strong project management skills, with experience juggling multiple RFPs under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in RFP automation tools (e.g., Loopio, RFPIO, or Qvidian) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Experience in responding to RFPs for higher education, government, or enterprise contracts.
- Experience working with GovSpend or similar government procurement platforms.
- Experience designing high-quality, visually compelling proposal documents using Canva.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, from sales and marketing to C-suite executives.
- High attention to detail, with a strategic mindset focused on winning proposals and optimizing the process.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience using Smartsheet and Canva.
