A-Line Staffing is now hiring Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technicians in Remote (CST hours). The Pharmacy Technician would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $20.00 per hour

  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

  • The required availability for this position is 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday between 8:00am–12:00am CST, with possible weekends

  • Training schedule: 5 weeks starting November 10, 2025 – Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm CST

Prior Authorization​​​​​​​ Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, and members regarding prior authorizations

  • Provide courteous, professional phone support following set criteria and guidelines

  • Accurately document and update case information in a timely manner

  • Route clinical questions and escalations to the pharmacist team

  • Assist with fax/portal requests, outbound calls, and email inbox monitoring

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as pharmacists, appeals, and senior staff

Prior Authorization​​​​​​​ Pharmacy Technician Requirements

  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • At least 6+ months of pharmacy technician experience in an administrative or call center setting

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience in a high-volume call center (healthcare preferred)

  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, data entry)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a HIPAA-compliant home office with no distractions

  • Wired internet connection with at least 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload (screenshot required)

  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Prior Authorization​​​​​​​ Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with healthcare authorizations or claims

  • Knowledge of pharmacy benefit processes

  • Experience supporting remote teams or virtual call centers
