Job summary
We’re seeking an experienced Painter to join our growing team. You’ll prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and ensure a clean, durable finish on interior and exterior apartment projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently on multiple-unit properties.
Responsibilities
- Prep surfaces (clean, sand, patch, caulk) and protect areas not being painted
- Apply paint, stain, and coatings with rollers, brushes, and sprayers
- Cut in edges and corners with precision
- Ensure consistent color, finish, and quality across units
- Follow project timelines and communicate progress or issues
- Maintain tools and equipment; keep work area clean
- Collaborate with property managers, supervisors, and other trades
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional interior and/or exterior painting experience
- Proficiency with brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and paint products
- Knowledge of prep, priming, coating, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read project plans and specifications; measure and estimate materials
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple sites
- Physical ability to lift/move 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights
- Valid driver’s license and basic tool maintenance skills
Preferred
- Experience with multi-family/apartment properties
- Basic color/finish knowledge; ability to identify and fix defects
- Basic surface prep or plaster repair skills
