Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Education, active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, and a minimum 1+ years BCBA experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time BCBA opportunity is available at an elementary school in North Port, FL, serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade (ages 3 to 11). This contract position runs from August 1, 2025, through June 1, 2026, with a typical schedule of 40 hours per week, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students during behavioral crises to provide immediate intervention.
- Collect, monitor, and analyze behavioral data to inform treatment plans.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Train and guide teachers and paraprofessionals in implementing behavior plans and data collection procedures.
- Collaborate closely with educational staff to promote positive student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required; BCaBA candidates may also be considered.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, specifically ages 3 to 11.
- Proficient in conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and delivering staff training.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a school setting and lead behavior support teams.
