Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity is for licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide comprehensive services within K-12 public schools in the Sanford and surrounding areas of Florida. Positions are available in multiple school settings including high school, middle school, and elementary campuses, with options for full-time and part-time roles varying by site. Assignments will take place primarily on-site with potential for a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor student progress and provide necessary reports to school staff, families, and administrators.
- Participate in meetings and communication regarding student needs and educational goals.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and ASHA standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
- Current Florida state licensure as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred, but new professionals with up to two years of experience will be considered.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and school staff.
Position Details:
- Contract duration: ASAP through May 29, 2026.
- Locations include multiple schools in Seminole County, including areas near Sanford and Oviedo, FL.
- Varied caseloads with assignments spanning one to three schools depending on full-time or part-time status.
- Serving K-12 students with various speech and language needs.
