Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components, maintaining inventory, performing quality control checks, and assisting in process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components into subassemblies and finished products.
- Develop and update assembly instructions for new and existing products.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock for production needs.
- Maintain proper labeling and organized storage of components for efficient access.
- Conduct testing and quality control inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Additional Responsibilities (Based on Experience & Qualifications)
Depending on your skills and background, you may also be involved in:
- Order components when inventory levels are low.
- Assign part numbers to components and subassemblies.
- Utilize 3D printing to produce components as needed.
- Set up and maintain inventory management software.
- Create assembly and / or test fixtures.
- Create custom storage bins using CAD.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certification is a plus).
- Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or technical support is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion 360 is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in various physical conditions.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, flexible business hours.
