Cook Shell Contractors is seeking an experienced and proactive Area Manager/Superintendent to oversee and manage our shell construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who can efficiently coordinate all aspects of multiple projects, including material procurement, subcontractor management, scheduling, and quality control. The position will require frequent travel across Florida, including Palm Beach County, Martin County and surrounding areas, ensuring smooth execution and high standards across job sites. As a key leader on our team, you'll be responsible for both the logistics and execution of construction projects, ensuring that we meet our client’s expectations while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations on multiple job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Travel between project sites to provide hands-on leadership and supervision.
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate activities across all trades to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Take full responsibility for ordering all required materials in a timely manner to keep projects on track.
- Maintain and adjust project schedules and timelines as necessary to optimize resources.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to building codes.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and field teams to resolve issues and provide progress updates.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to provide a secure and productive work environment.
- Maintain proper documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Area Manager in shell construction or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, material procurement, and safety regulations.
- Proven experience managing multiple job sites and overseeing large-scale projects.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel regularly
