Job Opportunity – NICU Respiratory Therapist – Florida

Start Date: January 19, 2026

Location: Margate, Florida

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time position with shift coverage including day and night rotations; patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1 depending on acuity

Highlights:

• Level III NICU with 12 beds providing advanced neonatal respiratory care
• Competency with specialized ventilation including High Frequency Jet Ventilator and Oscillator required
• Flexibility to float to adult respiratory units as needed
• Meditech EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Work within a 228-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital designated as a top performer since 1980
• Certified primary stroke center with specialized surgical programs including Open Heart, 24-hour ER, orthopedics, and robotics

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (ABSOLUTE MUST)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital Respiratory Therapist experience
• Demonstrated competency with High Frequency Ventilator (JET) and Oscillator
• Experience with oxygen cylinders and concentrators, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP and BIPAP equipment
• Preferred: Previous Meditech experience and stroke education background
• Active Florida respiratory therapy license or ability to obtain
