Our client is a global boutique law firm founded by Big Law veterans, recognized for delivering sophisticated legal counsel with the agility and personalized service of a boutique practice. With an international client base that spans industries and jurisdictions, the firm is highly regarded for its deep expertise in complex transactions, cross-border matters, and strategic advisory work.

Position Overview

The firm is seeking a talented Corporate Transactional Associate with Mandarin fluency to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will bring strong academic credentials, corporate transactional experience, and the ability to work seamlessly with international clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for M&A, joint ventures, private equity, venture capital, and other corporate transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and manage transaction-related documentation.
  • Advise clients on cross-border structuring, governance, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients across multiple offices on complex, multi-jurisdictional deals.
  • Provide Mandarin-language support for client communications, negotiations, and documentation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 2–5 years of corporate transactional experience (Big Law or equivalent boutique preferred).
  • Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) required.
  • Demonstrated experience working on cross-border transactions is a plus.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative boutique environment.
