Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Houseperson to join our team. The Houseperson plays a key support role in the housekeeping department, ensuring that room attendants have the supplies they need, public areas are clean and welcoming, and guest requests are fulfilled promptly. This position helps maintain the overall cleanliness and efficiency of hotel operations, contributing directly to guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies to room attendants and storage areas as needed

Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including hallways, lobbies, elevators, and restrooms.

Assist with the removal of trash, recycling, and dirty linen from guest rooms and housekeeping carts

Respond to guest requests such as extra towels, pillows, or amenities in a timely and courteous manner

Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost-and-found items to the appropriate staff

Maintain housekeeping closets and work areas in a clean and organized manner

Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with hotel standards
Must-Have Qualifications

Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Flexible with working hours, including overnights, weekends and holidays

Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

Basic English communication skills are preferred

Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred, but not required
Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per workday)

Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching to manage supplies and assist staff

Exposure to cleaning chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides

Must be comfortable working with tools, ladders, and in confined spaces when necessary

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., linen, trash, amenities, equipment)

Working schedule: Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holidays is essential, as scheduling will depend on business needs. This position may require evening availability. Adaptability is key in a hospitality environment
