About Us:
Apollo School of Gymnastics is Florida’s longest-running gymnastics facility, inspiring confidence and unlocking possibilities for over 50 years. We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable coach to join our competitive boys team program, working with levels 1–10 and helping our athletes reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities:
- Coach boys competitive team athletes in accordance with USAG guidelines, focusing on skill development, strength, flexibility, and artistry.
- Create and implement engaging, progressive training plans for all events (Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, High Bar).
- Provide constructive feedback, encouragement, and motivation to athletes.
- Ensure safety and proper technique at all times.
- Assist with meet preparation, including choreography, routines, and competition readiness.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaching staff.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented, and professional environment.
- Assist in coaching Girls Upper Team on vault, bars, and floor tumbling.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience coaching boys competitive gymnastics (USAG levels 1–10 preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of all men’s gymnastics events.
- USAG Professional Membership (or ability to obtain before start).
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during competition season.
