  • Private School Evaluation Team, Port St. Lucie, FL (1 day/week; evaluations done at district office; position funded through May 29, 2025)

This contract requires an active Florida SLP license and experience working in school environments. Multiple speech-language pathologist (SLP) roles are needed, including coverage for days when no other SLP is onsite. Some assignments include collaboration with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and supporting students in InD and DHH cluster units.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Active Florida SLP licensure
  • Experience working with K-12 populations
  • Ability to manage caseloads independently
  • Good communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and students
  • Experience conducting evaluations preferred (especially for the private school evaluation role)

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with school district guidelines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of each school community and student population

This contract position offers a rewarding work environment supporting diverse student populations in public school settings along the Southeast Florida Coast. Assignments will not include hybrid or remote work options.

Qualified SLPs are encouraged to apply promptly to secure a role that suits their experience and availability within this designated contract period.
