Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in serving K-12 students is needed for a contract position in North Fort Myers, FL. This role offers the opportunity to support students communication development across a diverse range of ages and needs in an educational setting during the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication disorders and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school guidelines
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Utilize evidence-based practices to promote effective language and speech development
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid SLP credential/license for school-based practice
- Experience working with K-12 students in an educational environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the varied needs of students
