Insurance Defense / Auto & Trucking Liability Attorney

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with a focus on auto and trucking liability to join a well-established defense firm in its Fort Lauderdale office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of litigation experience handling complex insurance defense matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend auto, trucking, and general liability cases from inception through resolution.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions and attend hearings.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain accurate case evaluations and reporting in compliance with carrier guidelines.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience, with emphasis on auto and trucking liability.
• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Trial experience is a plus.
