Description: Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots low voltage electrical systems, including those for security, fire alarm, home automation and audio-visual systems. Will be responsible for tasks like running cables, connecting wiring, and configuring equipment. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on existing and new low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshooting, Diagnosing and resolving issues with low voltage systems, including identifying faulty equipment and finding solutions. Running and connecting cables for various low voltage systems, often in new construction or existing buildings. Interpret complete and incomplete blueprints, technical drawings and schematics to understand system layouts and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of the South Florida Tri-County area and ability to drive work van.
* Safety: Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
* Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
* Communication: Communicating effectively with clients, team members, and other tradespeople on the job site.
- Qualifications -
Education: High school/GED and 1-5 years of low voltage experience or AA, BA or technical certificates with low voltage knowledge
Skills:
* Proficiency in reading blueprints, installing low voltage systems, troubleshooting, and using relevant tools and equipment.
* Exceptional communication abilities, some knowledge and/or experience with concrete
* PC literate(Google suite, Microsoft, email etc.) suite, Strong verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to identify and resolve issues with low voltage systems.
Valid Driver's License is required with no previous suspensions(in last 5 years) or serious moving violations
Good to have (Not required):
- Able to carry and lift 50 - 100lbs
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Experience with Butterfly, Lift master, Eclipse, Axis Ubiquity, Altronix, CAT5, CAT6, 18 x 6, Suprema, Nema boxes, electrical conduit, etc.
- Capable of contributing to overall project during preliminary and/or construction phases, laying conduit, running wires, installing and programing equipment.
- Experience with Tone generators, cable testers, multi-meter
What to expect as a candidate:
Interview process may vary from candidate to candidate. There may be from 1-3 or more interviews. Candidates may be asked to complete technical demonstrations during onsite interviews.
Salary range: $18-25/hr (Based on experience), with opportunity for OT
