A leading national life-safety and security solutions provider is seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians to join its brand new and rapidly growing team in West Palm Beach. This is a long-term, high-demand role for individuals skilled in fire alarm installation, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Experience with access control, security systems, or CCTV is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Fire Alarm Systems (Primary Role)

  • Install, program, and commission fire alarm control panels and field devices
  • Pull, terminate, label, and test wiring in accordance with NFPA and NEC requirements
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and system upgrades
  • Conduct acceptance testing with AHJs, general contractors, and end-users
  • Update documentation, including redlines, test sheets, and as-built drawings

Access Control, Security & CCTV (Preferred)

  • Install/configure door hardware, card readers, strikes, maglocks, and REX devices
  • Program access levels, schedules, and user permissions
  • Install and configure IP/analog cameras, NVRs, and PoE switches
  • Diagnose issues with intrusion systems, sensors, and communication modules

What We’re Looking For Technical Traits

  • Strong fire alarm programming experience on major platforms (e.g., EST, Notifier, Siemens, Honeywell, FireLite, Gamewell, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly diagnose wiring faults, device failures, and communication issues
  • Solid understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, and applicable local codes
  • Basic to intermediate networking skills (IP addressing, PoE, NVR setup)

Installation Traits

  • Skilled with mounting, wiring, terminating, labeling, and device placement
  • Produces clean, organized, professional-quality installations
  • Safety-driven and compliant with OSHA and company standards

  • Reliable, accountable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of fire alarm installation and programming experience (preferred)
  • Experience with access control, intrusion, or CCTV is a strong advantage
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • FASA certification is required
  • NICET certification or manufacturer training preferred; not required
