We are a well-established and growing leader in the used construction and heavy truck equipment industry, seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Mulberry, FL. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and a passion for working on a wide range of heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. Essential Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy trucks and equipment including Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo, Cummins, and CAT.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and safety checks on diesel engines and chassis components.
- Work with a variety of vehicle systems including:
- Diesel engines (DEF, DPF, EGR systems)
- Electrical and computer diagnostics
- Transmissions, clutches, air systems, ABS, drivetrains
- Utilize diagnostic software and tools for accurate issue assessment and repair.
- Maintain thorough and organized service records and work orders.
- Perform roadside service and share on-call rotation responsibilities.
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Assist in parts inventory tracking and ordering.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Having your own tools is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo, Cummins, and CAT systems is preferred.
- Diesel mechanic certification or journeyman designation preferred.
- Welding experience (ARC and MIG) is a strong plus.
- Solid electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s License required (CDL Class A a plus).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
- Basic computer skills to manage work orders and equipment history.
- High School Diploma or GED required; trade school a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
