We are seeking a skilled plumber well-versed in underground, new construction work, and fixtures. The role involves working with cast iron pipe, no hub, and installing a drain waste and vent system. Candidates must be able to cut and thread pipe and read blueprints and specifications. Proficiency in rough-ins, both above ground and underground, as well as finishing or trim-out work, is required. This includes installing vents, sewers, connections, waterlines, hardware, toilets, and sinks. Currently, our project is in the second rough phase, focusing on CPVC, PVC, and water line installations.
Responsibilities
- Perform underground and new construction work involving cast iron pipes and no hub systems.
- Install drain waste and vent systems, ensuring proficiency in both rough-ins and finishing work.
- Cut and thread pipes accurately, and read blueprints and specifications effectively.
- Work on new construction and renovation projects, specifically within large commercial construction.
- Install, repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes.
- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipes to the required angle using various tools.
- Install domestic water and sanitary fixtures, hangers, and pipes.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in plumbing.
- Proficiency in plumbing, mechanical, piping, installation, and blueprint reading.
- Experience with PVC, copper, PEX, and cast iron materials.
- Ability to braze and solder.
- Must have basic hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Comfortable working with CPVC.
- Experience in large commercial construction projects.
- Ability to work alongside other contractors.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
