Do you have a passion for repairing cars? Are you a car enthusiast and follower? We are looking for a Volvo technician apprentice who may have worked with Volvo or German brand repairs to include and not limited to light engine work, transmission, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (starters and alternators), HVAC systems, steering & suspension systems. The purpose of this position is to train to become a service technician, working in cooperation with the technician and/or Trainer to learn the shop process and how to use available shop resources, and ultimately certify as a Technician.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Perform the procedures with the assistance of technician and/or trainer while training toward Certification.
- Examine vehicle and discusses with the technician the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
- Plan work procedure in cooperation with the technician and/or trainer.
- Adhere to dress code in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards.
- Keep work area clean and tidy in accordance with dealership standards.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time.
Education/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 + years working at a dealership preferred
- 6+ months working with Volvo or German cars highly preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time.
- Must have reliable transportation within the West Palm Beach area.
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR policy requirements.
- Positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
