Remote, Florida residency required
Position Requirements:
- Florida Bar-licensed (active and in good standing)
- 3+ years practicing attorney
- Civil litigation experience (at least 2 years)
- Prior trial experience, moot court, or mock trial experience (at least 1 year preferred)
- Prior State Attorney or Public Defender experience (preferred)
Core Responsibilities:
- Litigation Management: Managing diverse caseloads and representing clients in complex litigation matters in various businesses (e.g., airplane owners, airlines, pilots, aviation maintenance companies, repair shops, aviation manufacturers, component manufacturers, maintenance crews, Fixed-Based Operators, Private charter operations, and more).
- Litigation Support: Provide litigation support to the Managing Litigation Attorney as needed.
- Case Evaluation: Assess the facts of cases, identify legal issues to determine viability of client cases.
- Legal Research: Analyze case law statues, rules, and regulations to build strong arguments.
- Client Counseling: Advise clients, explain legal options, risks and strategies for informed decisions.
- Discovery Process: Gather evidence, conduct depositions, issue subpoenas, and prepare discovery requests.
- Motion Practice: File, draft, and argue motions in support of client’s position.
- Settlement Negotiations: Resolve disputes, negotiate agreements as authorized by the client.
- Trial Preparation: Organize evidence, develop case strategies and arguments, draft motions in limine, prepare witnesses for trial, ensure compliance with the trial order, and provide support to the lead trial counsel.
- Court Representation: Advocate on behalf of clients, present arguments and defend interests in court.
- Compliance & Compliance: Ensure compliance adherence and follow court rules, court orders, and other legal requirements. Maintain accurate records.
- Industry Awareness: Understanding of airlines, airplane owners, manufacturers, and other aviation business will be instrumental in representing our clients.
- Project Management: Ensure client projects are completed on time and within budget while coordinating efforts across operational departments.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the team and the firm.

- Occasional night and weekend work will be required.
Reporting Structure:
- The Litigation Associate Attorney will not have any direct reports. The role will report directly to the Managing Litigation Attorney.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 10%
- Travel may be periodically required for cases, industry events, firm events, and onsite meetings as required.
