General Purpose
The Next Gen Coordinator provides administrative, organizational, and ministry support to Calvary Kids, Students, and Young Adults ministries. This role is essential in helping create, implement, and sustain healthy systems, communication, and ministry rhythms for the Next Gen team. While serving all Next Gen areas, this position emphasizes Middle School ministry.
Essential Job Functions
- Support all Next Gen ministries as directed by the Next Gen Pastor.
- Regularly communicate with and report to the Next Gen Pastor regarding ministry updates, needs, challenges, and wins across Next Gen.
- Provide administrative support that strengthens systems, organization, communication, and execution of Next Gen ministry initiatives.
- Partner with parents of Calvary Students in the discipleship and spiritual formation of their children.
- Maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with Calvary Christian Academy (CCA).
- Provide care, encouragement, and support for students, families, and ministry partners, with a concentration in Middle School.
- Support and provide administrative leadership for camps, retreats, and mission trips in alignment with Next Gen camp philosophies.
- Partner with the Reach team to ensure pastoral care and follow-up for Next Gen ministry partners and constituents.
- Stay informed about current trends, challenges, and cultural dynamics impacting the next generation.
Minimum Requirements
- Agreement with and support of Calvary PSLs Statement of Faith, mission, vision, and core commitments.
- At least one year of church ministry experience or consistent ministry volunteering (church staff experience preferred).
- A clear passion and calling to serve in Student Ministry and Next Gen discipleship.
- Bachelors degree in a ministry-related field preferred.
- Proven ability to lead volunteers and help develop them toward their potential.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and steward time effectively.
- Willingness to maintain a positive, flexible, and whatever it takes attitude in a ministry environment.
- Ongoing commitment to personal spiritual growth and development.
- Consistent demonstration of biblical values, including regular church attendance, participation in a discipleship environment, serving, and tithing.
Ministerial Duties Classification
This position is classified as a ministerial role and includes the following spiritual responsibilities:
- Praying with and for individuals and families.
- Providing biblical guidance, encouragement, and spiritual wisdom to those facing personal or spiritual challenges.
- Leading and/or actively participating in discipleship environments.
- Assisting with the administration of church ordinances, including baptism and communion.
- Organizing, directing, and supporting ministry programs within the assigned area.
- Leading and/or participating in outreach and evangelistic initiatives.
- Supervising ministry-related administration and resources within the scope of responsibility.
