We’re hiring a Value Stream Group Leader to support our manufacturing operations in Fort Lauderdale!

As the Value Stream Group Leader, you will oversee daily production operations within assigned areas, ensuring schedules and quality standards are met while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will work closely with Supervisors and the Value Stream Manager to align goals, resolve challenges, and foster a high-performing team culture.

You’ll play a key role in mentoring supervisors, leading lean initiatives, promoting safety and compliance, and managing key production metrics to optimize overall performance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee daily operations in assigned production areas, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor and support Supervisors in managing associate performance, resolving bottlenecks, and addressing operational challenges.
  • Coordinate with the Value Stream Manager to ensure alignment with broader value stream goals.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts using BPS Essentials and lean manufacturing tools to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
  • Support Supervisors in implementing and maintaining 5S standards on the shop floor.
  • Lead small group problem-solving sessions to address recurring issues and improve processes.
  • Mentor and coach Supervisors to build leadership skills and improve team performance.
  • Facilitate training programs to equip associates with necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team culture emphasizing accountability, communication, and respect.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and address workplace hazards promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor KPIs such as production output, downtime, scrap rates, and quality performance.
  • Provide regular reports to the Value Stream Manager highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors to implement corrective actions and track progress toward performance goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or production operations experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience supervising teams within a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-functional, diverse, and cross-departmental teams to drive improvements and change.
