Overview:

The IT Project Manager (PMP) is a member of an interdisciplinary team of IT Project Managers and public health consultants assisting Florida in reaching its strategic public health goals. This position requires a considerable exercise of independent judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, good computer skills, and the ability to perform against high standards of excellence. This position will operate onsite in Tallahassee, FL.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Monthly or as directed, schedule and facilitate meetings, which includes but is not limited to preparing agendas and meeting minutes by documenting document decisions, identifying issues, and identifying action items.
  • Monthly or as directed, draft use cases, process maps, and standard
  • operating procedures.
  • Monthly or as directed, draft design documentation.
  • Monthly or as directed, draft training documentation such as user manuals.
  • Monthly or as directed, deliver training to users.
  • Monthly or as directed, facilitate requirements gathering and prioritization.
  • Monthly or as directed, perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, and assist team members.
  • Monthly or as directed, draft functional and technical specifications.
  • Monthly or as directed, develop test cases, test plans, and conduct UAT.
  • Monthly or as directed, facilitate UAT with the team members.
  • Monthly or as directed, write specific, measurable, attainable, reasonable,
  • and traceable (SMART) business requirements in a format which includes role or persona, the need, and the outcome.
  • Monthly or as directed, facilitates requirements gathering with team members.
  • Monthly or as directed, draft and maintain project documents including but
  • not limited to project charters, project plans, status reports, and schedules, related to projects being managed.
  • Monthly or as directed, gather data, conduct data analysis, and create
  • dashboards and reports.
  • Monthly or as directed, correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams and other stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified PMP with a minimum of three years of project management experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience communicating project updates both orally and in written form with technical staff, executive management, and user staff.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with facilitating current state or application analysis sessions and documenting applications through use case process documents and workflow diagrams.
  • A minimum of three years of experience developing project plans.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with creating and presenting internal and external status reports and detailed status reports suitable for presentation to the management team.
  • A minimum of three years of experience tracking work tasks and maintaining project schedules (including work breakdown structures).
  • A minimum of three years of experience with risk tracking, mitigation, and issue tracking.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with delivering projects as per agreed schedule, as per the current technical specification (within scope), and within the approved budget.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with meeting facilitation and documentation.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in at least two of the following tools: HP Project Portfolio Management, Microsoft Project, Cherwell Software – IT Management Enterprise, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, or Microsoft Word.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in communications development and planning.
  • A minimum of three years of experience identifying, analyzing, and documenting policies, processes, and procedures using case process documents, workflow diagrams, and drafting of standard operating procedures.
  • A minimum of three years of experience gathering, drafting, and prioritizing requirements.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), writing test scripts, testing methodologies, and documentation.
  • A minimum of three years of experience drafting functional and technical specifications.
  • A minimum of two years of technical writing experience including drafting of project documents, reports, and user guides for a variety of stakeholders.
  • A minimum of four years of experience with the use of Microsoft Visio, Word, and Excel.
