Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a primary trauma and stroke unit, requiring a FL or compact RN license and strong neuro and trauma experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital ICU specializing in trauma and neuro/stroke patients
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00–07:30), with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity
- Floating to other units may be required
- Requires use of Epic EMR and experience with this system
- Responsible for providing care to critically ill trauma and stroke patients in a high-acuity environment
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are considered at a different pay scale
- Facility is smoke-free
- Charge RN and neuro ICU experience preferred
- Study guides and orientation materials available online prior to start
- Retesting on dysrhythmia exam available if initial pass criteria are not met

- Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience caring for acute and chronically ill patients
- Recent trauma and neuro ICU experience required
- Degree from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution; if from FBON-approved institution, must have 2 years of recent acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale, all current at time of consideration
- Must have experience with Epic EMR
- Must pass basic arrhythmia/EKG testing with required minimum scores
- Proof of vaccination status required; no declinations allowed
