Job Title: Marine Project Manager

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 annually, DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Direct Hire

About the Role:

A Huge Marine Company is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at our Fort Lauderdale facility. This key position acts as a liaison between the Service Operations Manager and the Trade Manager, providing leadership and oversight to ensure smooth scheduling, efficient production, and successful project delivery in a fast-paced marine environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writes specifications for and recommends purchase of marine equipment, parts and supplies
  • Ensures quality of work by department meets or exceeds standards
  • Able to respect, listen and motivate department employees
  • Plan and organize department goals by developing plan of action, and managing labor utilization
  • Prioritize open communication and pass information quickly and effectively to ensure all employees have the necessary information
  • Act as a bridge between the Service Operation Manager and Trade Manager.

  • Coordinate and assist with project planning, scheduling, and execution.

  • Supervise trade teams including mechanical, welding, and lift crews.

  • Monitor project timelines and production goals, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and maintain workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Marine industry experience is required.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a machine shop environment, with a focus on marine equipment repair and maintenance.

  • Associates or Technical Degree preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Experience managing teams or tradespeople.

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

People Management:

  • This position requires direct supervision of the following roles:

    • Trade Manager (Mechanical, Welding, Lift Crews)

Requirements:

  • Must pass drug screening and background check (per client requirements).

  • No licenses or certifications required.
