Your Opportunity:
This is a full-time, Remote position reporting to the President of Operations.The Senior Middleware Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining middleware solutions that facilitate secure, reliable, and efficient communication and data flow across fintech applications. This role requires deep expertise in middleware technologies and financial technology integrations.
Job Responsibilities:
Middleware Development and Integration
Design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions to support fintech applications.
Integrate diverse financial systems, APIs, and services for seamless operation.
Ensure middleware solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
Technical Expertise
Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for middleware infrastructure.
Continuously evaluate and implement emerging middleware technologies.
Document technical designs and middleware integration processes.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with architects, software developers, and operations teams to define middleware requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure middleware solutions align with business needs.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior middleware developers.
Security and Compliance
Adhere strictly to industry security standards and compliance requirements relevant to fintech.
Implement middleware security best practices and protocols.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of middleware security configurations.
Monitoring and Optimization
Monitor middleware systems performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Optimize existing middleware platforms for maximum efficiency.
Conduct regular middleware infrastructure audits and capacity planning.
Performance Metrics:
Reliability and uptime of middleware systems.
Efficiency of middleware integrations and data flow.
Security compliance and incident response effectiveness.
Contribution to middleware innovation and optimization efforts.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in middleware development and integration within fintech or banking environments.
Strong knowledge of middleware technologies (e.g., NSQ, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, API Development).
Experience integrating RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and financial data exchange protocols.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Proficiency in Python/Django, or other relevant programming languages.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
