Mission :
The Junior Sales Manager is responsible for achieving departmental sales targets, providing administrative support to the Sales and Marketing team, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction for both guests and owners. The candidate must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment, entrepreneurial thought, discretion, strategic decision-making skill, and managing confidential information of the property. The ideal candidate will possess hotel experience in a luxury setting, ideally in sales.

- With genuine kindness and keen organization, oversee groups on property, maintaining that all expectations are met and exceeded.
- Provide high attention to detail in all communication, assist in processing reports, contracts, proposals and Request for Proposal’s under guidance from Sales team, ensuring the value of luxury is communicated through all written and verbal presentations.
- Input data to the contact management database, ensuring the system is kept up-to-date, accurate and current at all times. Use effective Customer Relationship Management techniques via Opera Cloud and other initiatives to build and maintain relationships.
- Together with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Revenue/ Reservations Manager, maintain records on behalf of the Sales and Marketing department, ensuring that a filing system is established and that documents are readily available when needed.
- Update key sales reports and manuals for the Director including the marketing plan, marketing manual and departmental action plans/reports.
- Participates in sales calls with members of the Oetker sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business. Represent Hotels in various events and exhibitions, roadshows. Targeting key accounts potential for the company. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
- Respond to general telephone inquiries/ email on behalf of Sales team.
- Conducts daily sales calls and arranges site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
- Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the advisors and clients, and develop professional long-term business relationships. Closely following up on all business leads within a 24-hour response time line to clients.
- Work closely with the Revenue & Reservations Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
- Develop strong relationships with on property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
- Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
- Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients, together with Reservations and Revenue Manager and DOSM.
- Attend Sales team meetings, participate, record, prepare and distribute meeting notes.
- Execute site inspections, client entertainment and familiarization trips.
What you bring :
- Strong communications (telephone and in person).
- Strong writing and oral presentation skills
- Requires knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment
- 2 years minimum in a similar role, Luxury brand preferred
- Basic knowledge of hotel operations
- Must already be legally permitted to work in the United States.
