Minimum starting salary $58,225.00 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

Summary function: The System Administrator is responsible for supporting IT Operations through daily administration of local and cloud-based technology platforms. The position will work with a team of IT professionals to ensure TFB information systems are developed, monitored, maintained, and secured using best practices.

Required minimum education: Bachelor's Degree in one of the computer sciences or related field.

Required minimum professional work experience: Three (3) years of system administration and/or network administration experience required. Additional related experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform a wide range of system administration duties including installations, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, patching, and general support for TFB's on-premises server infrastructure.

- Perform configuration management, troubleshooting, and user management for various cloud-based applications.

- Perform a wide range of network administration duties including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and general support for TFB network equipment.

- Assist with identifying, triaging, and mitigating security vulnerabilities.

- Assist with procurement of computer hardware, software, and IT services.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies.

- Research, evaluate and recommend technologies to support organization's business requirements.

- Collaborate and support the work of other staff engaged in similar functions.

- Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge:

- Enterprise system administration principals and best practices

- Cloud service management best practices

- IT networking administration fundamentals

- IT infrastructure monitoring tools

- Basic project management skills

Skills:

- Management and troubleshooting of server hardware and software

- Virtual infrastructure host and storage management

- Cisco switching/routing troubleshooting and management

- Microsoft Office 365 and Azure administration

- Cloud-based telephony administration

- Workflow management through ticketing (Zendesk)

- Identifying, triaging, and mitigating IT security vulnerabilities

- IT asset and service contract management

Abilities:

- Troubleshoot, identify and solve complex problems

- Determine priorities

- Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing

- Work in a team environment

- Interact effectively and courteously with a wide variety of people both within and outside of the organization

- Work standard business hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mon-Fri (occasional nights and/or weekends are required)

- Travel (may be required to support branch offices)

- Sit for long periods of time, hear and converse over the telephone, and key/work frequently on a computer

- Lift 5 to 10 lbs
