The Golf Shop Associate is one of the most visible employees of the facility. This position is tasked with greeting players, displaying, demonstrating, and selling golf supplies and related items. Due to the nature of the position, the employee must be pleasant, outgoing, and willing to work with others. The ideal candidate must be driven, eager to learn, compassionate, empathetic, and embody the Park's Core Values.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Register players, taking tee times and charging appropriate golf, caddie, and cart fees.
- Advise players about attire, golf clubs, and supplies.
- Operate point of sale (POS) system.
- Sell Golf Shop items and provide players with expert knowledge on all product lines.
- Arrange and display Golf Shop inventory.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior retail experience, customer service skills, and a knowledge of golf are a plus.
- A team player, whose focus is to accomplish operational goals with others.
- Personable, approachable, and socially engaging.
- Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
- Detail oriented, strong time management skills, and able to prioritize work, managing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image.
- Candidates must be motivated to continue to learn and develop.
