Senior Civil Engineer / Project Engineer
Location: South Florida (Office-Based Role)

Our client, a longstanding and well-respected civil engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer or Project Engineer with 8 to 10+ years of experience to support the design and management of infrastructure projects across both governmental and private sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support the design of civil infrastructure projects including:

  • Storm sewer and stormwater management systems

  • Water distribution and transmission systems

  • Sanitary sewer (gravity and transmission)

  • Lift stations and stormwater pumping stations

  • Local roadway and complete street designs

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for water, sanitary, and stormwater systems.

• Contribute to stormwater master planning and permitting efforts.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.

• Produce and review high-quality engineering plans, specifications, and reports.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

• Adapt quickly to changing project demands and priorities.

• Serve as a mentor and technical resource to junior engineering staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Minimum of 8-10 years of civil engineering experience.

• Strong technical experience in the design of water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure.

• Experience with municipal, utility, or land development projects.

• Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Florida.

• Proficiency in hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

• Prior experience with stormwater master planning and permitting.

• Strong project management and client interaction experience.
