Job Title: Back End Medical Assistant

Job Description

As a Back End Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in conducting medical intake procedures, including taking vital signs and patient history. You will record and report symptoms, reactions, treatments, and any changes in patients' conditions. Additional tasks include performing immunizations and injections, executing phlebotomy, and documenting patient care. You will also be responsible for completing medical prior authorization and documentation requirements while collaborating with clinic team members to coordinate patient services. Your role will include creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient and assisting with front desk tasks as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.
  • Record and report symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
  • Perform immunizations and injections.
  • Conduct phlebotomy.
  • Document patient care.
  • Complete medical prior authorization and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinic team members to coordinate patient services.
  • Create a warm, welcoming experience for every patient.
  • Assist with front desk tasks, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting and processing payments, and verifying insurance information.

Essential Skills

  • Medical assisting skills.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience with electronic health records.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
  • Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • CPR certification.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
