We are currently seeking a Director of Information Technology (IT) to join our growing organization.
The Director of IT oversees the IT Department and other technical operations within the organization. This position will use advanced skills to manage the technology components of the business and will make recommendations to support continuous improvement. A primary responsibility of this role is to understand and become an expert partner for all aspects of the manufacturing ERP software system, Epcor Kinetic ERP, a SaaS Solution. The IT Director will oversee and confirm technical issues are efficiently resolved will ensure the IT Team readily supports these efforts while conforming to best practices, company policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory compliance. This leadership role will participate in strategic planning and communications to help achieve organizational goals, objectives, and overall success.
IT Leadership requires a dynamic approach for managing a diverse team, both on and off site. This involves not only strong communication and leadership skills but also the ability to foster a positive team culture, promote respect and collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
This is a full-time, on-site position based out of our Fort Myers, FL Corporate HQ. We are not currently offering a relocation allowance for this position. An exempt salary will be based upon knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. Ideal candidates should have a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or other related field with at least three (3) recent years in a manufacturing environment leadership role, and/or in a programming/system analysis leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience. Development/Programming experience, Project Management Skills, and Product Configurator experience are all huge bonuses, but they are not required. Active Industry or Project Management Certifications are recognized but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be an expert partner for all aspects of the manufacturing ERP system or become said expert within a reasonable timeframe after position acceptance.
- Identify IT needs, add new/update and/or enhance current IT systems and site security options, and make recommendations to senior business decision makers.
- Evaluate the companys adherence to federal technology requirements for security and other applicable standards; provide data driven recommendations as needed.
- Oversee and manage internal and external IT Team members, on/off site, including related vendors or TPAs.
- Provide and present business cases for recommendations of technological equipment updates for senior executive review and consideration.
- Implement company-wide technology updates and coordinate training sessions, document, and report measured successes and challenges as applicable.
- Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot/resolve, maintain and upgrade hardware/software and connectivity issues, including user access and component configuration.
- Implement, update, support, monitor, and/or measure the continuity and performance of computer and network services throughout the organization.
- Maintain and record company hardware and software asset inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security; report as needed.
- Install, configure, and upgrade desktop/laptop/tablet hardware and peripherals.
- Safeguard all IT assets and oversee company IT security measures, ensuring security of data, files, and any/all sensitive, proprietary, and confidential information.
Develop, prepare, update/maintain and drive a documented system of departmental policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions as related to IT.- Participate in developing organizational guidelines, standard operating procedures, policies, work instructions, etc. as related to IT systems and security.
- Consult with external partners and manage applicable TPAs/outside vendors with efficiency and professionalism.
- Business travel as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies & Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Must have an employment record free and clear of any serious infarctions within the past 5-10 years and a history free and clear of limitations which may cause/may have caused safety concerns, issues, incidents and/or accidents.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and shift gears quickly when needed and can multitask and adapt in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible with working hours as evening and/or weekend work may be required in response to needs of system support.
- Must have very good research and analysis skills.
- Must have the ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms and can teach others.
- Must have previous experience with ERP software, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Must have advanced MS application knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must have both active listening and critical thinking skills and must be able to creatively problem solve.
- Must have leadership skills and recent, successful experience leading a team of 3+ subordinate employees.
- Must have knowledge of and remain up to date with IT best practices, IT developments, IT security practices, IT security risks/resolutions, and related trends.
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English with grammatically correct written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a valid US Drivers license in good standing and must maintain throughout employment.
- Business travel as needed.
