Summary

Are you passionate about nurturing young children in a Christ-centered environment? We’re seeking a dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher who will help guide, inspire, and support both children and fellow teachers through faith, love, and learning.The Infant/Toddler Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the classroom curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. This teacher will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and succeed.If you have a heart for ministry, a passion for early education, and a love for helping children grow in both faith and learning, we’d love to have you join our team!

Duties

  • Coordinate and implement an educational curriculum grounded in developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
  • Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
  • Plan and implement individual and group activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth
  • Maintain frequent communication with parents, including daily updates, progress reports, and conferences
  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
  • Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean classroom environment
  • Supervise and guide teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to uphold curriculum goals and safety standards
  • Keep accurate child records, forms, and documentation
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement



Requirements

  • Completion of 45 DCF training hours (required)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (required)
  • Demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ, godly character, and a servant heart
  • Knowledge of children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults



Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of professional child care experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
