Summary
Are you passionate about nurturing young children in a Christ-centered environment? We’re seeking a dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher who will help guide, inspire, and support both children and fellow teachers through faith, love, and learning.The Infant/Toddler Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the classroom curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. This teacher will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and succeed.If you have a heart for ministry, a passion for early education, and a love for helping children grow in both faith and learning, we’d love to have you join our team!
Duties
- Coordinate and implement an educational curriculum grounded in developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
- Plan and implement individual and group activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual growth
- Maintain frequent communication with parents, including daily updates, progress reports, and conferences
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
- Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean classroom environment
- Supervise and guide teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to uphold curriculum goals and safety standards
- Keep accurate child records, forms, and documentation
- Commit to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Completion of 45 DCF training hours (required)
- CPR and First Aid certification (required)
- Demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ, godly character, and a servant heart
- Knowledge of children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of professional child care experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
