Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Physical Therapist position supports multiple K-12 schools in the Niceville, FL area within the Okaloosa County School District. The role is itinerant, providing services across various school sites, primarily serving an elementary-aged caseload of approximately 40 students. The contract runs from January 5, 2026, through June 2, 2026, and requires 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hour days).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and interventions to students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address each student's physical mobility and functional needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other service providers to support student progress and participation within school activities
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Travel daily between multiple schools to ensure consistent therapy services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
- Experience working in a school-based setting or with the pediatric population preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of diverse student needs across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Location:
- On-site work in Niceville, FL (north of Destin in the Florida Panhandle)
