Revolution Fence Company is a locally owned fence installation company with over 10 years in business, proudly serving both residential and commercial clients. Our small, close-knit team values integrity, accountability, and excellence in every project we take on. As we continue to grow our commercial division, we’re looking for a driven Commercial Estimator to help us expand our presence in the commercial market.
Position Overview
The Commercial Estimator will be responsible for developing, pricing, and submitting estimates for commercial fence projects while building and maintaining relationships with general contractors, developers, and property managers.
This role combines analytical estimating skills with proactive relationship-building and business development efforts. The right candidate will take ownership of the Commercial Estimating Department’s growth and play a key role in shaping its future. Benefits and incentives will be linked to employee performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Review and interpret commercial plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
· Develop detailed takeoffs, material lists, and pricing for ITBs (Invitations to Bid) and RFPs (Requests for Proposal).
· Track bid opportunities, submit proposals, and follow up with clients.
· Build and nurture relationships with general contractors and other potential commercial clients.
· Coordinate with the operations team to ensure accurate project handoffs and material planning.
· Represent the company in a professional manner at networking and pre-bid meetings.
· Identify opportunities to improve estimating efficiency and expand our commercial client base.
Qualifications
· Experience in the fencing industry strongly preferred.
· OR prior experience estimating from commercial plans in construction, landscaping, or related fields.
· Strong ability to read blueprints, site plans, and specifications.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
· Self-motivated and driven to meet goals and grow within the company.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and basic estimating software (Arcsite) or takeoff tools.
Compensation
· Pay structure is flexible with many different options.
· Base pay/pay structure negotiable.
· Options can include: Hourly rates, Salary, Commissions tied to performance. These options can also be combined. (To be discussed during Interview)
