We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and technically skilled Interior Designer to join our development team in Captiva, Florida. This role will lead residential and hospitality design projects from full gut renovation through final styling and photography. The ideal candidate is both design-driven and execution-focused, able to manage projects independently while collaborating closely with contractors, vendors, and ownership.
Responsibilities:
● Lead full-scope interior design projects from concept through installation and final staging
● Produce all design drawings independently using CAD, SketchUp, or similar architectural software
● Create comprehensive design books including plans, elevations, renderings, and finish schedules
● Specify and source all materials including furniture, lighting, tile, paint, plumbing fixtures, hardware, and
accessories
● Manage furniture procurement, deliveries, and installation
● Stage properties with furniture, art, and accessories for final presentation
● Coordinate and manage professional photography and property photo shoots
● Communicate directly with contractors to resolve real-time field issues and make design decisions during
construction
● Travel to job sites in Captiva as needed or be locally based
● Maintain organized project files, schedules, and documentation
● Support website design updates and manage basic content changes
● Create and manage social media posts showcasing projects and brand identity
Qualifications:
● Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field preferred
● Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, or comparable design software
● Strong understanding of construction, renovation processes, and materials
● Proven experience managing projects from demolition through final installation
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Confident communicator with contractors, vendors, and clients
● Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
● Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects
● Experience with basic website management and social media content creation is preferred
● Willingness to travel or reside near Captiva, Florida
