Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team serving students in the Niceville and Crestview areas of Florida. This full-time position is ideal for educators with experience in school settings who are passionate about supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with visual impairments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across a range of grade levels

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet the unique needs of each student

• Support classroom teachers and staff with strategies and tools for inclusion

• Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments

• Provide orientation and mobility support in collaboration with other specialists

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field

• Florida state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (or eligibility)

• Experience working in a school-based setting strongly preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to travel between school sites in Niceville and Crestview as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly pay starting at $50/hour (rate based on experience)
