Job Title: Facilities Mechanical Technician – HVAC/R-Chiller Mechanic

Reports To: Chief Engineer

SUMMARY: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the club’s equipment including HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Kitchen Equipment, and other mechanical equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Visually inspect, operate, maintain and repair HVAC equipment in the club buildings and mechanical equipment rooms throughout the facility
· Utilize knowledge of building mechanical systems such as, but not limited to, chilled water units, condensing units, air handlers, ovens, gas kitchen equipment, refrigerated kitchen equipment, and boilers.
· Operation of fan systems, maintenance of temperature controls and disassembly and reassembly of equipment associated with the HVAC trade is also required
· Interpret blueprints and technical manuals along with knowledge in the use of various tools and equipment is necessary.
· Follow manufacturers’ guidelines and recommendations for preventative maintenance of all related equipment
· Monitor and inspect Chiller Plant and HVAC equipment on a routine basis
· Record utility meter readings
· Make emergency repairs to plumbing, kitchen, and other building equipment
· Install new equipment and make modification to existing equipment
· Participate in equipment PM program
· Any other requests made by a supervisor
· Utilize CMMS to log work and maintain parts inventories
· Approach every job with a high attention to detail and always leave the equipment and work area better than when you arrived
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Knowledge of OSHA standards and application
· Knowledge of plumbing and electricity
· Skilled in the use of hand tools
· Ability to perform duties in high and low temperature ranges such as summer outdoor heat and inside of coolers and freezers
· Ability to perform duties in confined spaces
· Knowledge of building mechanical systems
· Skilled in the use of a calculator to prepare simple, accurate mathematical calculations
· Ability to access and input information using a computer system
· Ability to grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm during emergency situations
· Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling
· Ability to push and pull objects or material weighing up to 100 lbs.
· Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet, with the ability to reach often time overhead
· High School Diploma required
· Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
· Adherence to safety protocols and company procedures.
· Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Chilled water HVAC experience – Required
· Level 3 EPA certification – Required
· English - Fluent
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25+ lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.

Frenchman’s Creek Beach & Country Club is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Executive Steward to lead our stewarding team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout all kitchen and food service areas. The Executive Steward will play a key leadership role in maintaining kitchen hygiene, managing stewarding staff, overseeing banquet setups, and ensuring proper handling and maintenance of all service equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and train a team of stewards to uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Ensure all kitchen areas, including equipment, dishwashing stations, hoods, floors, and trash areas, are cleaned daily.
Maintain proper inventory and organization of China, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment.
Support banquet operations, including setup and breakdown of functions, and ensure availability of small wares.
Prepare weekly schedules, daily payroll edits, and manage departmental budgets.
Enforce health, hygiene, and safety protocols in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Banquet Chef, and F&B Director to coordinate stewarding support for culinary operations.
Conduct hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of stewarding staff and leadership team.
Manage preventative maintenance and sanitation procedures for all culinary equipment.
Lead pest control measures and enforce standards to reduce waste and theft.
Attend operational meetings including BEO, safety, and F&B meetings as required.
Maintain accurate inventories and approve contract labor invoices.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a stewarding leadership role at a luxury private club, high-end resort, or Four- or Five-Diamond property.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sanitation procedures, cleaning chemicals, PPE, kitchen equipment, and stewarding operations.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Comfortable with mathematical reasoning and basic calculations
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
