About the Role
Nova Southeastern University is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join our innovative research team advancing cancer biology and immuno-oncology. In this role, you will work closely with senior faculty and research personnel, contributing as a skilled researcher on projects focused on in vivo and in vitro characterization of novel anti-melanoma leads.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level independent and collaborative research in cancer biology and immunotherapy.
- Design and apply scientific and numerical models; develop protocols and instrumentation for data collection.
- Perform and oversee laboratory experiments, including advanced techniques and procedures involving radioactive materials.
- Analyze data and contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, and publications; present findings at professional meetings.
- Collaborate with senior researchers on long-term research strategies and grant initiatives.
- Provide guidance to junior researchers, staff, or fellows, supporting the daily operations of the lab.
- Contribute to committees, program development, and curriculum enrichment where appropriate.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- Doctoral or terminal degree in Biochemistry, Cancer Biology/Immunology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in an academic or laboratory research environment.
- Previous research experience in immune-oncology or cancer immunotherapy.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in melanoma biology.
- Experience with spatial proteomics/transcriptomics.
- Hands-on experience with in vivo studies.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and scientific methodology.
- Proficient in critical thinking, complex problem solving, and advanced research analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and publication.
- Ability to manage multiple research initiatives and ensure the integrity of data collection.
