GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Wilen is driven by industry-leading agency services and cutting-edge direct mail production. We provide strategic direct marketing solutions for national brands, leveraging innovative variable data technology, to turn concepts into finished digital and physical products, all in one seamless process.
Wilen Florida is seeking a Forklift Technician with a strong work ethic, responsible attitude, and willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will be working under a highly experienced Master Diesel Mechanic with over 30 years of varied experience.
Responsibilities:
All lawful directives of your supervisor or a member of Company management.
· Troubleshoot complete engine, suspension, etc.
· Rebuilding top to bottom of all associated equipment.
· Perform basic duties such as change oil, tires, replace hoses, belts, inspect brakes.
· Diagnose associated equipment: Propane Forklifts, Industrial electric pallet jacks, etc.
· Ensure all vehicles meet all OSHA safety requirements
· Maintain hand tools in a neat and clean shop area.
· Take test drives of various equipment before returning units back into service.
Physical Requirements of Position
· Candidate must be able lift up to 60lbs, and requires lifting, bending, kneeling
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must possess mechanical aptitude
· Basic tool set: standard, metric, wrench and sockets sets, along with basic test equipment DVOM with ammeter
· Clean driving record as sometimes repairs must be done in the field.
· Requires basic experience and knowledge repairing engines
· Must be able to communicate effectively in English, orally and written.
· Basic knowledge of electrical circuits ranging from 12 to 48 VDC a plus
· Technical trade school and/or college or similar experience a plus
