Our client, one of the largest healthcare corporations, is looking to hire a Front Desk Medical Receptionist in Naples, FL.

Contract: 3 months

Location: Naples, FL

Pay Range: $18.00 to 20.00/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage standard wait times.
  • Complete patient check-in and check-out processes, including:
    • Verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage.
    • Processing pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures.
    • Copying required identification and insurance documents.
  • Collect and receipt co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles.
  • Maintain and reconcile the cashier box; prepare daily deposits per company policy.
  • Assist walk-in patients and visitors professionally and efficiently.
  • Periodically disinfect and maintain the cleanliness of the lobby area.
  • Answer multi-line phone system, schedule appointments, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Provide phone support by assisting with general inquiries, redirecting calls, and taking accurate messages.
  • Maintain, file, scan, and prepare medical records for scheduled appointments.
  • Ensure all correspondence is scanned/filed appropriately and manage release-of-information requests.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, coworkers, and external partners.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, including data entry.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both in person and via phone.
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of general office procedures.
  • Preferred familiarity with medical terminology and ICD codes.
  • Preferred experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
