Our client, one of the largest healthcare corporations, is looking to hire a Front Desk Medical Receptionist in Naples, FL.
Contract: 3 months
Location: Naples, FL
Pay Range: $18.00 to 20.00/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage standard wait times.
- Complete patient check-in and check-out processes, including:
- Verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage.
- Processing pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures.
- Copying required identification and insurance documents.
- Collect and receipt co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles.
- Maintain and reconcile the cashier box; prepare daily deposits per company policy.
- Assist walk-in patients and visitors professionally and efficiently.
- Periodically disinfect and maintain the cleanliness of the lobby area.
- Answer multi-line phone system, schedule appointments, and direct calls appropriately.
- Provide phone support by assisting with general inquiries, redirecting calls, and taking accurate messages.
- Maintain, file, scan, and prepare medical records for scheduled appointments.
- Ensure all correspondence is scanned/filed appropriately and manage release-of-information requests.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, coworkers, and external partners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, including data entry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, both in person and via phone.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of general office procedures.
- Preferred familiarity with medical terminology and ICD codes.
- Preferred experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
