Job DescriptionSalary: $60,000 to $80,000 annually
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Counsel (Years 13) to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for a recent law graduate (post-bar, pre-license candidates will be considered) or an early-career attorney with a strong interest in contract law and regulatory compliance. Youll work directly under the General Counsel and collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management:Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including intake, organization, routing, tracking, and renewals.
- System Oversight:Support and optimize our contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, including updating templates, tracking metadata, reporting, and assisting internal users.
- Contract Review:Analyze and redline third-party agreements to ensure alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and risk thresholds.
- Contract Drafting:Draft a variety of commercial agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, vendor/customer agreements, amendments, and SOWs.
- Compliance Research:Stay informed on regulatory updates, particularly in TCPA, privacy, and data protection laws, and provide legal research support.
- Compliance Review:Assist in evaluating internal policies and practices for legal compliance and consistency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with procurement, sales, IT, HR, and other internal departments to ensure contracts support operational goals.
- Process Improvement:Help enhance workflows, playbooks, and standard operating procedures for contract and compliance processes.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Bar passage required; active bar membership preferred (but not required at time of application).
- 03 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure to transactional law, in-house counsel roles, or corporate compliance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a practical, solution-oriented approach to legal matters.
- Interest or experience in TCPA, privacy/data protection, or other regulatory regimes is a plus.
- Familiarity with CLM tools such as Agiloft is helpful but not required.
